Another action-packed day at Baku 2015 saw Henrikas Zustautas take gold in the men`s Canoe single (C1) 200m competition by a whisker ahead of Azerbaijan`s Valentin Demyanenko, with Martin Fuksa taking the bronze.

The Azeri athlete remained positive in this narrowest of defeats, saying "I would like to have taken gold. I couldn`t do what I wanted to do so unfortunately I got silver. But it doesn`t matter, everything feels great."

Next up, Belarusian shooter Vitali Bubnovich went into the final shot of the competition 1.1 points behind Niccolo Campriani - and still won gold. The remarkable result left Bubnovich "the happiest man in the world" - and one with a ticket to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Wrestling matches don`t typically last long, but today`s contest between Turkey`s Yasemin Adar and Oksana Vashchuk in the 75kg quarter-final was over inside 30 seconds in a pinfall victory. Adar wasn`t able to take her momentum into her next match, however, losing to eventual silver medallist Ekaterina Bukina of Russia.

In today`s first round of the men`s Table Tennis, Slovenia`s Bojan Tokic overcame Ivan Katkov of Ukraine in a seemingly routine 4-0 victory. Routine, except, that is, for the extraordinary point he scored which bounced three times, completely wrong-footing the hapless Katkov.

Finally, an epic Beach Volleyball rally once again saw Ukraine on the wrong side of Lady Luck, as the net intervened to give Azerbaijan a point in their preliminary round victory.
